Split a stereo output into two mixer channels over 10 metres
A 10 metre audio Y cable that takes a single 3.5mm stereo output and breaks it out into two separate 6.35mm (1/4 inch) mono plugs, one for the left channel and one for the right.
It feeds a phone, laptop, tablet or controller into two mono inputs on a mixer, powered speaker or amplifier.
This is a passive audio Y-splitter cable with a 3.5mm stereo (TRS) male plug at the source end and two 6.35mm (1/4 inch) mono (TS) male plugs at the other end.
The tip of the 3.5mm plug carries the left channel out to one 6.35mm jack, the ring carries the right channel out to the second 6.35mm jack, and the sleeve provides a common ground.
In plain terms, it turns one stereo headphone or AUX output into two discrete mono feeds, so each channel lands on its own input on a mixer, powered speaker or amplifier and can be panned, levelled and EQ'd on its own.
This is the longest run in the Y-split family at a full 10 metres, built for stage and event work where the playback device needs to sit a good distance from the front-of-house mixer or the PA stack.
The cable is line level and audio only, it needs no power, no drivers and no batteries, and it works in one direction only, from the stereo source out to the two mono destinations.
