Question 1

What's included when you rent the Amplifier?

Accepted Answer

You get 01 x TX TXD 7000 4-channel amplifier and 01 x mains power lead. Passive speakers, speaker cables and the audio source, such as a mixer or DJ controller, are not included. We can add matching speakers, subs and cabling to the same rental so it all arrives together.

Question 2

Can I use this to power passive speakers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The TX TXD 7000 is a power amplifier for passive (unpowered) speakers. It takes a line-level signal from your mixer or source and drives up to four passive speaker channels, or fewer channels bridged for more power. Active or powered speakers with a built-in amp do not need it.

Question 3

What is this amplifier?

Accepted Answer

It is a TX TXD 7000, a four-channel Class D digital power amplifier in a 19-inch rack chassis. It powers passive PA speakers for live sound and installed audio, driving tops, monitors and subs from a single box.

Question 4

How many speakers can it drive?

Accepted Answer

It has four independent output channels, so it can feed up to four passive speaker channels at once, for example a pair of tops and a pair of monitors, or a stereo tops-and-subs layout. Channels can also be bridged for higher power on fewer speakers.

Question 5

Why is a Class D amplifier better for events?

Accepted Answer

Class D is a switching output stage that runs far more efficiently than older Class H or Class AB designs. That means less heat and noticeably less weight for the same output, so the amp rack is lighter to transport and easier to rig at a venue.

Question 6

What inputs and outputs does it have?

Accepted Answer

It uses professional balanced XLR or jack inputs for the signal from your mixer, and Speakon outputs to the passive speakers. Per-channel gain controls let you balance the level of each speaker zone.

Question 7

What power do I need to run it?

Accepted Answer

It runs on a standard 230V mains outlet in Sri Lanka. As a high-power amplifier, it should be fed from a properly rated power circuit. Weak generators or long thin extension leads can cause voltage sag and trip the protection, so plan clean, stable power for the run.

Question 8

Do you deliver and set it up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We deliver same-day across Colombo and suburbs, and next-day or scheduled island-wide. Our team can advise on rigging the amp with your speakers, and we handle delivery in-house so it arrives on time for the event.

Question 9

What deposit and ID do I need?

Accepted Answer

A refundable security deposit and a valid NIC or passport are required at handover. The renter is liable for damage or loss, and any repair or replacement is charged at actual cost.

Question 10

What is the minimum rental period?

Accepted Answer

1 day, which is a 24-hour period. Daily, weekly and monthly rates apply, with better rates for longer hires. Message us for a quote for your event dates.

Question 11

Can I rent speakers and a mixer with it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We rent passive PA tops, subs, mixers and cabling, so you can put a full system together in one order. Tell us your venue size and audience and we will suggest a matched speaker and amplifier setup.

Question 12

Will it match my speakers safely?

Accepted Answer

Speaker matching matters. Driving cabinets below the amplifier's minimum rated impedance can trigger protection or damage drivers. Tell us your speaker models and we will confirm the pairing before delivery.

Question 13

What is the TX TXD 7000 4-Channel Class D Amplifier?

Accepted Answer

The TX TXD 7000 is a four-channel Class D digital power amplifier for hire from Rentitem.lk in Sri Lanka. It powers passive PA speakers, driving up to four speaker channels or fewer bridged, from balanced XLR or jack inputs to Speakon outputs on 230V mains. Its Class D design runs cooler and lighter than Class H, so the amp rack is easy to transport for weddings, conferences, DJ sets and installed sound. It rents with same-day Colombo delivery and a refundable deposit. It needs passive speakers, speaker cable and an audio source, which we also rent.
