Does this isolation shield fit any microphone stand or only specific brands?

The XTUGA MIS01 mounts to standard microphone stands with standard threading. If your stand has a non-standard or proprietary mount, bring it to our Colombo location or send a photo via WhatsApp +94 777 186 500 so we can confirm compatibility before booking.

How much does the 3-panel design reduce room echo compared to using no shield?

The high-density acoustic foam with top enclosed cover absorbs reflections from multiple angles, cutting down reverb that condenser microphones pick up in untreated rooms. Results vary based on your room size and ambient noise level.

Can I fold the shield flat for transport in a car or tuk-tuk?

Yes, the panels fold from 60 to 180 degrees and the top section folds from 45 to 90 degrees. It packs down smaller than rigid booth designs, though you will still need careful handling during monsoon weather to keep the foam dry.

Do I need to bring my own pop filter or is it included?

The XTUGA MIS01 rental includes the built-in pop filter as part of the shield assembly. You do not need to source a separate pop filter unless you prefer a different style for your specific microphone.

XTUGA MIS01 Microphone Isolation Shield with Pop Filter - Sounds for rent

The XTUGA MIS01 is a passive, fold-flat isolation shield with a 3-panel vented shell and high-density foam lining that traps reflected sound.

Its collection angle adjusts from 60 to 180 degrees, and the top cover seals from above for near-booth isolation on any standard mic stand.

Home-studio vocalists, podcasters, and YouTubers in untreated rooms use this to cut wall reflections and street noise from vocal takes.

Wedding videographers also pack it for location interview tracks, while music tutors set it up for student vocal demos in small church or school spaces.
