The DJI Zenmuse L3 is an enterprise aerial LiDAR payload for hire in Sri Lanka. It mounts on a DJI Matrice 400 and captures dense, survey-grade 3D point clouds in a single flight window.
The DJI Zenmuse L3 is an aerial LiDAR payload from DJI Enterprise, built for the DJI Matrice 400 and attached through the DJI SKYPORT single gimbal connector.
It is a payload only, so it needs the Matrice 400 airframe to fly, and that aircraft is not part of this rental.
The unit weighs about 1.6 kg and measures 192 x 162 x 202 mm, with a composite and alloy body sealed to IP54.
Inside, a 1535nm long-range LiDAR module detects targets up to 2000 m away, fires at pulse rates up to 2 MHz, and records up to 16 returns per pulse, which lets it read ground detail through vegetation canopy.
Ranging accuracy is plus or minus 10 mm, giving the tight precision that professional surveys demand.
Alongside the LiDAR sit dual 100MP 4/3 CMOS RGB mapping cameras that add true colour to the point cloud and produce orthomosaics. The whole sensor rides on a stabilised 3-axis gimbal for clean, georeferenced capture.
This is the tool survey and mapping teams reach for when they need accurate, colour-rich 3D data over large sites quickly.
It is enterprise equipment, so it is flown by a trained, CAA-registered pilot and its output is finished with survey processing software.
