The DJI Zenmuse P1 is an aerial photogrammetry camera payload, not a drone. It weighs about 0.8 kg and mounts through the DJI gimbal on a Matrice 300 RTK, 350 RTK or 400 RTK aircraft, which is not part of this rental.

At its core is a 45MP full-frame sensor measuring 35.9x24 mm, paired with an interchangeable DL series prime lens available in 24mm, 35mm or 50mm F2.8, so the focal length can be matched to the ground sample distance and corridor width a job needs.

A 3-axis gimbal holds the sensor steady to 0.01 degrees, and a Global Mechanical Shutter freezes every frame during forward flight so there is no rolling-shutter distortion at mission speed.

TimeSync 2.0 locks the camera, IMU and onboard RTK module together at microsecond level, which is what gives the P1 its centimetre-grade geotagging on an RTK-equipped Matrice.

That combination is why survey teams choose it for demanding photogrammetry rather than a standard drone camera.

It is a professional tool that needs a trained pilot with valid CAA Sri Lanka registration, a memory card and photogrammetry software to turn the captured images into finished maps and models.
