A hardware control panel for Blackmagic ATEM switchers that lets an operator cut, mix and add effects on a live show by feel, using real buttons, a weighted T-bar and a joystick instead of a laptop and mouse.
It controls a switcher and does not process video on its own, so a compatible ATEM switcher is required.
A 12 channel control panel is the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel 10, a professional hardware control surface built for fast, tactile operation of a Blackmagic ATEM live production switcher.
It gives an operator real buttons, a weighted T-bar fader and a joystick, so cuts, mixes and effects on a live show happen by feel rather than by hunting through a laptop screen.
This panel controls an ATEM switcher; it is not a switcher itself and does not process video on its own, so a separate compatible Blackmagic ATEM switcher must be present on the network.
It offers 10 direct cross point buttons that shift to reach 20 sources, three LCD displays for menus and source labels, 20 menu control buttons, 10 dedicated macro buttons and a numeric keypad.
The weighted T-bar fader handles manual transitions and the 3-axis joystick drives DVE positioning and PTZ camera control.
Connectivity is built around two 10/100/1000 gigabit Ethernet ports with a loop output, so the panel can be daisy-chained with additional panels or ATEM Software Control computers on the same network.
A USB-C port is provided for firmware updates.
The metal chassis fits a standard 19-inch rack and runs on redundant 100-240V AC mains, so a busy operator gets a stable, purpose-built control position for the whole production.
