A 15 metre 3G-SDI coaxial video cable on a reel, terminated with BNC male connectors at each end, for routing a Full HD 1080p SDI signal between your camera, switcher, monitor and recorder at a live event.
This is a professional broadcast video cable: a 75 ohm coaxial copper cable with polyethylene insulation and a braided shield, wound onto a reel so it deploys and packs down without tangles.
Each end carries a BNC male connector, which is the locking bayonet plug used across SDI equipment.
It follows the SMPTE 424M 3G-SDI standard and passes a serial digital video signal at up to 3.0 Gb/s, which is enough headroom for uncompressed Full HD 1080p.
SDI is a professional standard and is not the same as HDMI. The connectors, cable and signal are different, so both the source and the destination need SDI (BNC) ports for this cable to work.
It is a passive cable with no electronics inside, so it does not power, boost or convert anything; it simply carries whatever signal your SDI gear sends down the 15 metre run.
To feed an HDMI display or capture device instead, you would add a separate SDI-to-HDMI converter.
