The AVMATRIX SHARK S6 is a portable professional live production unit that folds a video switcher, a monitor, a streaming encoder and a recorder into one compact box.
It is a 6-channel mixer: it accepts four 3G-SDI inputs and two HDMI inputs, so you can plug in a mix of cameras, laptops and media players and cut or fade between them live.
A built-in 5-inch FHD monitor gives you multiview, source preview and on-screen menus, which means an operator can see every input and the program output without hauling a separate display to the venue.
On the output side it sends the program feed out on two SDI outputs plus one HDMI output, with two SDI AUX outputs and an HDMI multiview for monitoring, so a projector, a recorder and a stream encoder can all be fed from the same mix at the same time.
It streams directly over RTMP to platforms such as Facebook and YouTube, records the program to a USB drive and an SD card together for a safe local backup, and turns into a USB Type-C webcam for Zoom, Teams or OBS with no capture card.
The audio section carries six embedded channels plus two external MIC inputs, and PTZ cameras can be steered from the unit over VISCA, VISCA over IP, Pelco D-P and ONVIF.
This is a mixed HDMI and SDI setup in a single case, which is exactly what a mobile crew wants when space and setup time are tight.
