The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter HDMI to SDI 6G is a compact, broadcast-grade video converter that bridges consumer and prosumer HDMI gear into professional SDI production.

It has one HDMI Type-A input and two reclocked 6G-SDI outputs, and it automatically detects and matches SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p30, so there is no manual format switching on the day.

The two SDI outputs let you feed a switcher and a confidence monitor or recorder at the same time from a single HDMI source, without adding a distribution amplifier.

On the audio side it embeds either HDMI audio, two channels of balanced analog audio on 1/4 inch jacks, or two channels of AES/EBU digital audio into the outgoing SDI stream at broadcast 48kHz, 24-bit quality.

The unit runs on the included power supply (12-18V DC, around 4.44W draw) and its firmware can be updated over USB.
