Boya BY-WS1000 - Sounds for rent

The Boya BY-WS1000 is a blimp windshield and suspension system that protects shotgun mics from wind noise, handling shock, and vibration.

It fits mics 20-22mm in diameter and up to 320mm long, with an elastic shockmount inside and a fur deadcat cover for gusty conditions.

Sri Lankan customers use this on outdoor wedding shoots, documentary days, news recordings, and school film projects where clean dialogue matters.

It also suits travel vloggers, short film sound recordists, and anyone capturing location audio away from noisy environments.

Why Choose This Product

Boya BY-WS1000: Manufacturer-verified Shotgun Microphone Blimp Windshield & Suspension System - we'll source the exact model when we add this to our fleet.
Fits 20-22mm diameter shotgun mics up to 12.6 in / 320mm Size / Capacity: Sized for the typical professional or event use case.
Key Specifications: Blimp + shockmount for 20-22mm shotgun mics up to 12.6 in, internal coiled XLR, fur windshield, 3/8 in-16 boompole thread with 1/4 in-20 adapter, 480 x 134 x 190-314mm.
Internal coiled XLR cable: Pre-installed coiled XLR runs inside the cage so the shotgun mic connects internally and exits via a single male XLR at the rear, keeping the rig tidy on a boompole.
Dual mounting threads: Pistol grip carries a 3/8 in-16 thread for standard boompoles and ships with a 1/4 in-20 adapter for tripod, light stand, or camera-cage mounting.
Two-stage wind protection: Rigid open-cage blimp blocks gross wind blasts while the zippered fur windshield slips over the top for high-wind outdoor scenes.
Elastic suspension shockmount: Replaceable elastic cords cradle the microphone inside the cage to isolate it from handling and boompole vibration.
