Question 1

What does the DJI D-RTK 2 do?

Accepted Answer

It is a ground-based GNSS RTK base station. Set over a known or fixed point, it streams real-time correction data to a compatible DJI drone so the aircraft logs centimetre-accurate positions for mapping, surveying and precision-agriculture work - far more precise than the drone's standard GPS.

Question 2

Which drones is the D-RTK 2 compatible with?

Accepted Answer

It is designed for DJI's RTK-capable platforms: the Matrice series (M300/M350 RTK, M30 RTK), Phantom 4 RTK, P4 Multispectral, and Agras agricultural drones. It is not used with standard consumer drones like the Mini, Air or Mavic series. Confirm your exact airframe with us before booking.

Question 3

How accurate is it?

Accepted Answer

RTK positioning accuracy is 1 cm + 1 ppm horizontal and 2 cm + 1 ppm vertical when properly set up with a clear sky view. Real-world accuracy depends on satellite visibility, baseline length and correct base setup.

Question 4

Do I need to know the exact coordinates of my base point?

Accepted Answer

For absolute (geo-referenced) accuracy you set the station over a surveyed control point or supply known coordinates. For relative accuracy within a project you can use the station's own averaged position. We can walk you through both workflows at handover.

Question 5

Does it work in the rain or dusty field conditions?

Accepted Answer

The station carries an IP65 ingress rating, so it tolerates dust and light rain better than a drone. Still avoid heavy downpours and protect the battery and connectors; set up on stable ground with a clear view of the sky.

Question 6

What is included in the rental?

Accepted Answer

01 x D-RTK 2 mobile station, 01 x extension rod / mount, 01 x battery, 01 x charger, and the carrying case. The drone itself, its RTK module and SD cards are separate - tell us your platform and we will confirm the full kit.

Question 7

How long does the battery last?

Accepted Answer

The built-in 4920 mAh battery supports a full working session at roughly 12 W draw. For long survey days we recommend mains power or a spare battery - ask us to include one.

Question 8

Can I rent an operator or surveyor with it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can arrange a trained drone/survey operator for mapping and RTK missions - the operator rate is separate from the equipment rate.

Question 9

What ID and deposit are required?

Accepted Answer

Sri Lankan customers need a National Identity Card and a refundable deposit sized to this high-value unit; foreign customers need a passport and may need a card hold. The renter is liable for loss or damage at actual replacement cost.

Question 10

Do you deliver it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Same-day delivery in Colombo and suburbs, island-wide by arranged courier. The station travels in its protective case.
