This is a set of four neutral density (ND) filters made for the GoPro HERO13 Black.

A neutral density filter is a piece of dark, colour-neutral glass that sits in front of the lens and cuts down the amount of light reaching the sensor without changing the colours in the shot.

In bright tropical daylight a GoPro would normally push the shutter very fast to avoid overexposing, which strips motion blur out of the footage and makes movement look harsh and stuttery.

By blocking a controlled amount of light, an ND filter lets you slow the shutter back down and hold the smooth, cinematic motion blur that professional video needs, while keeping the exposure balanced.

The set gives you four strengths so you can match the light through the day.

ND4 removes 2 stops of light for softer conditions, ND8 removes 3 stops for golden and blue hour, ND16 removes 4 stops for open afternoon sun, and ND32 removes 5 stops for harsh midday glare and bright water.

Each filter is cut from high-optical quality glass with a hydrophobic, scratch-resistant coating that repels water and stays waterproof while mounted.

They clip onto the HERO13 Black HB-Series lens without tools, and the camera auto-detects which filter is fitted and can suggest the right density for the current light.
