A 100-metre HDMI 2.1 active optical cable that carries 8K 60Hz or 4K 120Hz video and audio the full length of a stadium or large hall with no signal loss.

It is the longest cable in the range, built for runs where a normal HDMI cable simply cannot reach.

This is a HDMI 2.1 active optical cable at 100 metres, with full-size HDMI Type-A male plugs on both ends. Unlike a plain copper HDMI cable, the core is optical fiber.

The picture and sound are turned into light and sent down the fiber, so the signal stays clean over a full 100-metre run instead of fading out after a few metres.

It follows the HDMI 2.1 standard, so it carries up to 48 Gbps of bandwidth and supports 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, HDR and every lower resolution such as 1080p.

Audio and video travel together on the one cable, so there is no separate sound lead to run across the venue.

Because it is an active optical cable, it is directional.

One end is marked as the source and must plug into the playback device such as a laptop, media player, camera or switcher, while the other end goes to the display or projector.

It takes its small amount of power from the HDMI source, so it does not need a wall plug, and a source with a strong HDMI output helps over a run this long.

It is one fixed 100-metre length and should not be joined to another cable, and the fiber core needs a gentle bend radius at corners.
