A 10-metre stereo audio cable with two RCA male plugs on one end and a single 3.5mm stereo male plug on the other.
It links a mixer, amplifier or hi-fi RCA output to a 3.5mm input, or a phone or laptop 3.5mm output to RCA speakers. It is tested before every rental, so it just works on the day.
This is a 10-metre stereo audio cable. One end is two RCA male plugs, red for the right channel and white for the left, and the other end is a single 3.5mm stereo (TRS) male plug.
It carries analogue, unbalanced, line-level stereo audio, so it bridges consumer 3.5mm gear and the left and right RCA connections used on mixers, amplifiers and hi-fi equipment.
The 3.5mm plug is a stereo TRS type, and the two RCA legs keep the left and right channels fully separate, so the sound stays in true stereo rather than being collapsed to mono.
The connectors are gold-plated and the cable is shielded, which keeps the contact reliable and helps hold a clean signal across the full 10-metre run.
The cable is passive and bidirectional, so it works in either direction as long as the source is an output and the destination is an input.
You can send audio from a 3.5mm output into RCA inputs, or take an RCA output into a 3.5mm input.
That makes it handy for feeding a laptop or phone into a mixer or PA, or for sending a mixer, amplifier or hi-fi RCA output to a device with a 3.5mm socket.
Ten metres gives enough reach to place the source and the amplifier or speaker on opposite sides of a mid-sized room, hall or showroom.
It carries audio only, not video and not digital audio, so both ends must match: RCA jacks on one device and a 3.5mm stereo socket on the other. Renting the right lead saves buying a cable you use once.
