Instead it fits over a compatible Bowens-mount studio light or LED COB fixture, which you supply or rent separately, and diffuses that source through its nylon cover so the light comes out gentle and even in almost every direction.

Built by Godox, a well known maker of photo and video lighting gear, the CS-85D uses a lightweight aluminium shaft and a quick-fold umbrella-style frame with a shaft lock, so it opens and collapses in seconds.

It weighs about 1.25 kg and packs down into its included carry bag, which makes it easy to move between a studio, a wedding, an interview room or an outdoor set.

The Bowens speed ring is a common mount standard, so it pairs with a wide range of strobes and continuous lights from Godox and other major brands.
