A 100-metre 3G-SDI (SMPTE 424M) coaxial video cable on a reel, terminated BNC male to BNC male, for carrying uncompressed Full HD 1080p video with embedded audio across a large venue or outdoor site.
This is a professional broadcast video cable: a 100-metre length of 75-ohm 3G-SDI coax wound on a reel, with a BNC male connector at each end.
It is built to the SMPTE 424M (3G-SDI) standard and carries uncompressed Full HD 1080p video at up to 60fps, up to 3 Gbps, together with embedded audio, all over a single coax run.
The signal travels one way, from source to sink, so one end plugs into an output (a camera or switcher) and the other into an input (a monitor, recorder or switcher).
At 100 metres this is a very long SDI run.
On quality cable, 100 metres is near the practical limit for 3G-SDI at 1080p60, which is exactly why it exists: to reach across a hall, a stadium or an outdoor event where shorter cables cannot.
It is a passive cable, so it needs no power, and it is shielded to hold a clean signal over the distance.
SDI is a professional broadcast standard with a locking BNC connector, and it is not the same as HDMI, so both ends need SDI-equipped gear.
