AVMATRIX SC1221 HDMI to SDI Converter

Send one HDMI feed down a long SDI run to dual outputs

The AVMATRIX SC1221 is a pocket-size HDMI to SDI mini broadcast converter that takes one HDMI camera or laptop feed and sends it out on two 3G-SDI outputs at up to 1080p60, so a short HDMI source can drive long SDI cable runs to a switcher, monitor or recorder.

It takes a single HDMI Type-A input and converts it to a serial digital interface signal on two independent 3G-SDI outputs.

It handles resolutions up to 1080p60, works to the SMPTE 292M, 259M and 424M standards and uses YUV 4:2:2 color throughout, which keeps the picture clean and broadcast grade over long cable runs.

The whole unit measures just 74 x 41 x 23 mm and runs on a Micro USB 5V supply at about 1.5W, so a USB power bank, a laptop USB port or a small 5V adapter can keep it going in the field with no mains outlet nearby.

The point of the SC1221 is reach: HDMI is a short-distance connection, while SDI over BNC cable travels long distances reliably.
