Sony SRS-XV800 X-Series Party Speaker

Sony XV800 flagship party speaker with omnidirectional sound, karaoke mics and huge bass

The Sony SRS-XV800 X-Series wireless party speaker for hire in Sri Lanka. Dual X-Balanced woofers, five tweeters for omnidirectional sound and party lights, with mic and guitar inputs for karaoke and small live sets.

The Sony SRS-XV800 is Sony's flagship X-Series wireless party speaker, built for big parties, weddings, karaoke nights and events.

It pairs dual 170 mm X-Balanced woofers with five tweeters (three front-firing and two rear-firing) for genuine omnidirectional sound, so the music carries evenly all around the speaker.

Sony rates its power at around 77W and MEGA BASS pushes deep low end that fills a hall or an open garden. Multi-colour ambient lights wrap the cabinet and pulse in time with the music, turning a plain space into a party.

It is a serious, versatile rig. Two 6.3mm inputs take microphones for karaoke, and they also accept a guitar for a small live set.

Music reaches it several ways: over Bluetooth from a phone, tablet or laptop (with SBC, AAC and LDAC), from a USB drive, through the 3.5mm aux input, or over the optical input from a TV or projector for movie nights and screenings.

A built-in rechargeable battery runs it outdoors for up to about 25 hours, and a 10-minute quick charge adds roughly 3 hours if you are running low. Its IPX4 build shrugs off light rain and poolside spray when upright.

At about 18.5 kg it is a big speaker, but built-in wheels and a telescopic handle let one adult wheel it across flat ground like a suitcase.

It is a strong pick for weddings, large birthdays, house parties, rooftop gatherings and small stage sets.
