The Weifeng WT-1003 is a lightweight aluminium alloy camera monopod for hire in Sri Lanka.
It gives you fast, one-handed support so you can follow the action, steady a long lens and cut camera shake without setting up a full tripod.
The Weifeng WT-1003 is a single-leg camera support made from aluminium alloy, so it is strong yet very light at about 0.36kg.
It has 4 sections that extend to roughly 171cm (67 inches) at full height and fold down short for transport.
Quick-release flip locks let you set the height with one hand in seconds, which matters when you are chasing a moment at an event or on a sideline.
On top is a standard 1/4 inch screw that threads straight into most DSLR, mirrorless and camcorder bodies, or into a ball head, phone clamp or small video head if you use one.
Unlike a tripod, a monopod is something you hold and steady yourself, so it moves with you and takes up almost no floor space.
That makes it ideal for crowded venues, aisles and stages where a tripod would be in the way or too slow.
The base foot swaps between a non-slip rubber pad for hard indoor floors and a metal spike for grass, gravel, sand or uneven outdoor ground, so it stays planted wherever you shoot.
It is rated to hold about 3kg, which covers most camera and lens combinations, and it packs into a camera backpack or hand luggage for travel.
Every unit is checked before it goes out on hire, so it is ready to work the moment it reaches you.
