A 10-metre balanced XLR cable, male to female, that carries clean microphone and line-level audio across a stage or hall. Tested before every rental, so it just works on the day.
This is a 10-metre balanced analog audio cable with a 3-pin XLR male plug on one end and a 3-pin XLR female socket on the other.
That male-to-female layout is the standard way audio devices connect, so it links a microphone to a mixer, a mixer output to a powered speaker, or a preamp to an amplifier, and it plugs inline to extend an existing XLR lead by another 10 metres.
Being a balanced cable, it carries the signal on two conductors plus a ground, which lets it reject hum and interference and hold a clean, low-noise signal even over this distance near lighting rigs, dimmers and mains cables.
The 10-metre length is the reason to rent this one rather than a short lead.
It lets the mixing position sit back from the stage so a front-of-house engineer hears the room properly, and it reaches across ballrooms, school halls, conference rooms and event floors where a shorter cable would fall short.
It is a passive cable, so it needs no power and passes phantom power from your mixer straight through to a condenser microphone. It carries balanced analog audio only, not video, digital or lighting data.
Please note the physical length still needs to be confirmed against our unit at the warehouse.
